About The Life Center

The Iowa Jewish Senior Life Center has a 75-year history of providing long-term nursing and rehabilitative care to persons of all faiths.

Our focus is on personalized services that best meet the physical, social, and emotional needs of each individual. Residents and their families are encouraged to play active roles in shaping the experience at The Life Center.

• Admission is open to persons of all faiths

• Rehabilitation, Long-term Nursing, and Alzheimer’s/Memory Care are available at The Life Center. Residents have access to a variety of medical services such as x-ray, lab, pharmacy, etc.

• 24-hour visiting hours encourage frequent visits from family and friends

• Our location is easily accessible from Interstate 235 /42 nd Street in Des Moines

• Security: After regular business hours and on weekends and holidays, our doors are secured and alarmed. All families and visitors can access entrance via the intercom to the nurses’ station or keypad code provided at admission.

• Non-smoking facility

• Kosher dietary laws are observed

• Religious Observance
  - Residents of all faiths are encouraged to invite their clergy to visit them any time.
