Rehabilitation/Skilled Care

After discharge from an acute care hospital, Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitative Care provides short-term, intensive, therapy, and medical care for persons recovering from an illness or injury.

This skilled level of care is utilized for medical conditions requiring 24-hour care by skilled medical personnel, such as licensed nurses and professional therapists.

Physical Therapy-for those persons in need of orthopedic rehabilitation to maximize functional independence subsequent to an acute care hospitalization (such as for joint repair or replacement). Individuals learn skills needed for daily living such as climbing stairs, or getting in and out of a vehicle.
Speech Therapy- A wide variety of rehabilitative interventions with an emphasis on coping with the after-effects of a stroke or other neurological problem. Individuals receive assistance with speaking, swallowing and eating.
Occupational Therapy for those persons in need of interventional assistance with their activities of daily living (ADL’s), including bathing, dressing and other “routine” personal care needs.
Restorative Therapy for those in need of ongoing assistance with daily exercise and maintaining range of motion.
